Dr. Susan Kouloyan-Ilic, Radiologist at Imaging Associates.

Clinical Director Wagga Wagga, Radiologist

Specialties: Breast, Gynaecological, and Obstetric Imaging

Dr Kouloyan-Ilic has been working as a radiologist for more than a decade. She performs the full range of radiology procedures, however, for most of her career, Susan has focused on women’s health.

Susan gained her medical degree at The University of Melbourne in 2000, graduating with Honours. She completed her training as a Radiologist at The Alfred in Melbourne in 2010, and then completed an MRI Fellowship at The Alfred in 2011. She undertook a second fellowship in Women’s Imaging at the Royal
Women’s Hospital in 2013. She has been a RANZCR fellow since 2012.

Radiology is a field of medicine that is highly personalised. The technology behind radiology will allow it to remain a continually evolving and exciting specialty.

Prior to joining Imaging Associates in 2023, Susan held several senior roles as a consultant, first in private practice, and then in both public and private hospital settings.

She worked at the Western Hospital as the Director of Ultrasound and co-Director of Breast Imaging, where she was instrumental in introducing the breast MRI biopsy service and she was the Director of Training at Joan Kirner Women’s Campus. Throughout her career, Susan has also been active as a teacher and mentor to RANZCR trainees.

Susan is a caring, gentle, patient and curious professional, who takes pride in being able to positively impact the investigation and management of patients, by providing advice and direction to referrers and patients. She is passionate about early detection and identification of precursors to disease, and in her current role she works hard to continually improve and expand service delivery to meet the needs of the local community.
